Hadn't been there since moving from the immediate area over 20 years ago. What a wonderful surprise!!!! Great salad bar, good selection of meals - had the fried chicken and liked it a lot!! We will be back!! Service was especially great!

It is usually very good, but last night we took a friend with us and our experience was horrible. We waited over an hour for our food, which we understood because it was extremely busy, but 2 of us ordered steaks (which was the special) and one of them was half fat and gristle. He ordered it medium and it was raw and cold in the middle. I ordered a bowl of chili and a grilled cheese sandwich and I had to wait 10 minutes after the other 2 got there steaks and my chili tasted like it had just come out of the fridge. I sent it back and it was barely warm when I got it back. I had finished my soup by the time my grilled cheese came. The baked potatoes were so hard you couldn't cut them with a knife. Then after we finished eating our meal, our appetizers came. The waitress was very good and apologetic, but won't be going back for a good long time.

Been too the Nest many times, first time I've ordered food for carry out. My husband had the rib eye steak dinner, which was great. I had a taste for the ultimate nachos. I was expecting it to be soggy chips and cold toppings. The way it was prepared was awesome. Thank you

Food decent.Typical. Service is terrible. Takes way, way to long to get a meal. Mismanaged. I have been there multiple times and I find myself bewildered on why I'm back. They do a great business because there is no competition around them.

Ate here LATE one weeknight about 6 weeks ago. The service was friendly even that late in the day. The food was good. I would recommend this little place to anyone in the area.

A wonderful little restaurant and bar. We visit every time we come to visit our parents, who live in the area. "Chicken strips" are the size of your head! (Huge!) Always a nice family time with delicious food, friendly staff, and clean, spacious dining area.

Walleye dinner is awesome and service is really good too.

Last Friday we ordered fish to go. As we waited at the bar for it, the cook in the kitchen could be seen and heard coughing all over the fish. She should not have been working. Now look at all the people who are exposed! Needless to say, we took the to go order out the door into the trash can. Will not return!

This place is about halfway between Kansas City and Lexington Kentucky so if you're doing a whole stretch of I64 it's a great find right off the highway. I honestly want to be there right now, but the last time I passed through was over a year ago. I was literally just sitting on the couch thinking about it though and had to share how happy it made me. A warm inviting place on a cold night.Ice cold beer, friendly bartender, good food and the wine list is lovely.

First time visitor; won't be the last time! If I lived closer, I would eat here several times per week! The menu is large and varied enough to support frequent visits without getting bored. It was unusually busy for a Tuesday, but the food (we had their ground-on-site burgers) and service were excellent. Barbara was excellent at keeping us informed, and refilling our drinks before we needed them.Definitely worth a drive for the food at this friendly, homey place.
